Needles Courthouse Expands
NEEDLES COURTHOUSE EXPANDS VIDEO REMOTE SERVICES SAN BERNARDINO, CA
Effective April 6, 2018, the Superior Court of San Bernardino County will expand services in Needles to include remote video appearances on misdemeanor probation case(s) for the purposes of requesting modifications and/or extensions on payments, program enrollments, and jail reporting requirements.
This expanded service, offered the first Friday of each month, allows residents the option to appear remotely at the Needles Courthouse, and have their case heard by a judicial officer sitting in the Barstow Courthouse.
The Needles Clerk’s Office will continue to be open on the first Friday of each month during 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., to provide limited services including non-cash payments, traffic school sign-ups, and payment extension or scheduling a court date.
The Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) Route 200 will continue to make one round-trip each Friday, departing from Needles, traveling to Barstow and Victorville in the morning and returning to Needles in the afternoon for individuals who wish to appear in-person at the Barstow or Victorville Courthouse.
This ongoing collaboration between the Superior Court of San Bernardino County, the Needles City Council and San Bernardino County, 1 st District Supervisor Robert Lovingood, represent the continuing effort to restore services that were reduced or eliminated due to budget cuts over the last several years. Additional services will be provided to the Needles Courthouse as funding and resources become available.
To schedule a hearing, please call the Barstow Courthouse at 760-718- 3660.
